- Her sister Marianne died from alcoholism on 29th May 2018 after a year-long struggle. Leonie posted about her loss in her blog and described in great detail the struggles her sister faced while battling addiction. The 39-year-old Marianne left behind a husband, a beautiful son, and many close friends.

- After high school, she travelled across the UK with her sister carrying out various crafting projects and learning more about the business.
- Eventually, Pujol began selling her own homemade crafts and was soon making enough money to dedicate all of her time to crafting.
- She then landed a job in a local craft shop and was quickly allowed to buy stock on behalf of the business.
- She also ran several workshops and ran demonstrations at local craft open days.
- In November of 2009, she was offered an opportunity to join the Create and Craft team as a TV presenter. It was a new role that she wasn’t too familiar with but one that gave her a six-year successful run on local TV.
