  1. I have an 1867 photo print of Lincoln that I would like appraised and other ARTIFAX. Can you help me? Thank you. Lee Pirrotti

  2. About the time I got married in 2008, I lucked into a three-piece dining set consisting of a hutch (44×70), a dining table (45×60) with 4 chairs, and a long server (23×78). I sold billboard advertising at the time and bought this fabulous collection in Russelleville, Arkansas. When I paid it off from layaway and was loading it to go home, the owner made a comment that I had just received the purchase of a lifetime. None of the pieces had any varnish-type finish, and I have been rubbing them down with beeswax and other moisture investments. The set is outstanding, and many a visitor has made comments about its beauty. We used to have some vendors on an antique street paradise in Van Buren, AR, but these people have one by one passed away. I cannot find as much as a picture of anything close, and I am hoping you may have someplace I can begin a search. Love you guys on Antiques Roadshow.

    Sincerely,
    Joseph Wheeler.

  3. I have a Bowl and Pitcher that I was told it might be pre Columbian. Was told it might be 1400+ years old…just not sure. Another person said it might be less than 300 years old.

I have several pieces of walnut furniture made by my great-grandfather in NE Ohio. His grandfather, Elias Carter, is still recognized as a famous architect of buildings in Brimfield, MA, where this family was from. Another 4th great-grandfather of mine, Lemuel Porter, was from CT and he built a school/academy in Hudson, OH, and the Tallmadge Congregational Church – both of which are still standing and in use. I wanted to know how I could get my furniture appraised – a large 8-foot high cabinet, a cradle made for my grandmother’s birth in 1897, a bedside table, and a doll’s bed and doll’s bentwood chair. I’m not wanting to sell them, but rather pass them on to the next generation in my family.

Additionally, I have a hanging HANDEL lamp with very bright colors to sell. It is marked in two places – the spine and the rim of the shade.

If I had an email for you, I could send pictures.

I have pieces of furniture that were made of walnut trees on my Great-Grandfather’s property in NE Ohio and made by him. These were made around 1888 and 1897 and then later small pieces made for my mother in the 1920s (a bentwood doll’s chair and a doll’s baby bed).

Wondering how I can obtain an estimate of their worth. I want to keep them in the family but I’m getting older. Need a relative to take and promise to pass them on to the next generation. Can you advise?

I would send pictures if I had your email account.

    Mr. Keno,

I am so so sorry for your loss of your beloved father whom I am sure was your role model! I don’t know if you remember me, Leigh, I came to you, and then you came over to my house in Paramus, New Jersey. To look at my things especially at my paintings by Romare Beardon. You thought it was worth a lot of money until I found out one was a monograph for some fluc, I happened to see that same painting once online. Somehow I did not understand what were you saying over the phone that you said you will take everything and did not make sense at all. I guess I was stressed out and being hearing impaired I probably did not understand everything you said. I apologized for this and not getting back to you to clarified the information. Anyway, I still have both paintings one original and one monograph. And don’t know what they are worth among other things I need to appraised and sell. The bad news I moved to Florida, Sarasota for my health and financially. Need warm weather. Almost year round!

There doesn’t seem to be any particular appraiser or good auction house or any that connect with New York. Yes in many ways I miss New York, I was born in Manhattan and raised there till I got married and moved to Riverdale, NY before moving to NJ to raise my children there. Of course, I am an empty nester, and one of them lives in NJ and works in NY and my younger one lives out of country. Not easy not to see them often, my health comes first. You know Leigh, when u met me, Hearing impaired is a challenged but never give up your beliefs and positive in life. You had some difficulties but you are a fighter and you have a family to support you!

I always admired you and still do and hope God willing we can talk again (txt is best for now but I do FaceTime and WhatsApp video chat) I think you might still have my NJ cell number. Again to both of you, may your father be wounded and rest in peace!

  7. I’m looking to find out is what is the monetary value of a phone book dated 1919 Atlanta, Georgia. It’s in very good condition.

  8. Good afternoon, Mr. Keno –

I sent an e-mail to the address on your website a week ago and don’t know if you’ve received it. I attached some pictures of a piece I’d like your opinion on. I tried calling the phone number listed there. No voice answered, but after I heard the beep, I left a voice message. Don’t know if you actually got that either.

If there is another way of contacting you, please do let me know.

    Respectfully,
    Jeannine.
