Upon graduation, LaChina interned with the ACC in their administration department. An aspiring athletic director, she then took a job with the Georgia Tech women’s basketball team.
After almost seven years in roles from administration to special assistant to the head coach, she was one day asked to fill in as a radio analyst.
She immediately fell in love with broadcasting and changed career paths.
After a year of networking and being mentored, LaChina officially began her broadcasting career around 2008.
Since then, she has been a women’s basketball analyst on the Big Ten Network, Fox Sports, NBA TV and ESPN. She has covered everything from the women’s Final Four, to the WNBA All-Star Game, to the WNBA Draft.
In 2008, LaChina also began her long tenure as the color analyst for the WNBA’s Atlanta Dream.
Her other current full-time gig began in 2016, when she started hosting ESPNW’s Around the Rim — a podcast focused on women’s basketball.

LaChina spends her limited free time helping other female sports lovers. She founded Stretch Beyond — an organization aimed at mentoring student-athletes in developing their career, character and community brand.
