- Kim has three brothers. She & her brothers all were raised in Dearborn. One of her brothers, Brian Degiulio got engaged to Taylor Claire Jones in mid-2017.
- Kim’s grandparents used to own a big home facing a golf course, with a big hill in the backyard. After breakfast, Kim and her siblings would often go there to enjoy sledding.
- Kim is in a relationship with Kevin Yarows who is a senior consultant at Plante Moran & lives in Detroit, Michigan. The couple got married in 2018. The two had first met when Kim worked as a camp counselor in her college years.

- Kim met Kevin Yarows on the raft at Camp Michigania, back in 2010. Soon, they started connecting more often through various activities at Camp Michigania such as Zumba classes, Riflery shooting, etc.
- They remained great friends for a couple of years & started dating around two years later.
- Five & a half years later, Kevin proposed to her at a Friday happy hour. They got married on September 2, 2018.
- The couple lives in a small apartment downtown. During the COVID-19 lockdown, Kim’s husband turned their dining table into his new office, as he was working from home.
TV Career, Job, Salary and Net Worth :
- After completing her studies at ASU in May 2013, Kim got her major break at ‘Radio Disney’ as an Event Host. She hosted live shows and interviewed Disney movie stars. The show used to be generally attended by a live audience of more than a thousand people. She worked there till May 2014.
- Thereafter, she joined Detroit Pistons video log (vlog) – The Wrap in October of 2013 as its host. She was in charge of reviewing the Detroit Pistons games in an entertaining vlog format. She was also responsible for giving a recap of the game at the end of her vlog. She left in April of 2014.
- In September 2013, she was hired as a Production Specialist and Narrator at Gail & Rice for a period of nine months. Her job portfolio was to increase brand awareness of KIA Motors at international auto shows & predicting the future of KIA based on a survey of likes and dislikes of potential, new and old customers.
- From May 2014 to October 2015, she secured her first TV broadcasting job, joining NBC 24 as a Reporter. She was posted in Toledo, Ohio, US. NBC 24 is owned by Sinclair Broadcast Group.
- She left NBC 24 to join WDIV TV in the Greater Detroit Area as a Traffic Reporter & continues to work there to date.
- Kim has said that she was always comfortable speaking to an audience, even as a child. Knowing that she would always incorporate public speaking in her day-job, led her to the world of journalism and broadcasting. Interesting Facts and Trivia :
- In October 2020, Kim and her friend ate outdoors at her home, but the two sat closer than the recommended six feet. This resulted in Kim inviting “the virus to her own home” and she tested COVID positive a few days later. Her husband too got the virus, but luckily she didn’t meet her senior parents and grandparents during the phase she was sick.
- Kim loves to eat good food and take pictures of it.
- She is a childhood fan of MLB’s team Detroit Tigers.
- Savannah Guthrie from the “Today” show, is one of Kim’s media idols. She loves her for her preparedness & sharp interviewing skills.
- In June of 2016, Kim made a faux-pas during her report from Toledo, Ohio. At the time, she was eight months into her new job at WDIV and had a task to report from a beach. The beach entrance was steep, onto which Kim ran full speed to reach the waterfront but took a tumble midway. The whole incident was shot on camera and uploaded on YouTube by ‘FunnyLocal’ News.
- Has donated to SKIP (Supporting Kids In Pain). SKIP is run by a young CEO in his teens! It sends gift toys to challenged kids to cheer them up.
