Childhood :

While Braxton’s college and professional careers have given her adult life a sense of stability, her childhood was anything but that.
Braxton’s mother went through a string of physically and emotionally abusive relationships when Braxton was young, causing turmoil in the girl’s life until the age of 9 when her mother went to prison and she was forced into foster care.
After a difficult transition, Braxton eventually wound up in a foster home that nurtured her vibrant personality and allowed her to learn how to express herself freely.
That self-expression took the form of speeches, and she soon began to enter public-speaking competitions in an effort to tell her story and inspire other foster children not to give up hope.

Teenage Years :

At age 17, Kayla’s competitions brought her all the way to the White House, where she presented in front of then-president George W. Bush.
Determined to gain a larger audience and continue inspiring others, Braxton decided to go to college to get a job working with TV, which ultimately led her to work with WWE.

Before beginning her WWE career, Braxton, known then as Kayla Becker, began to attend Belmont University in Nashville, Tennessee, in 2009.
In 2013, she graduated with a Bachelor’s degree in Mass Communication and media studies, although she often just refers to her major as a broadcast journalism program.
While in college, she created web content for three different shows: What’s Goin’ Down in Bruin Town, Nashville View, and The Kayla Becker Show.

TV Career, Job, Salary and Net Worth :

Kayla’s work with web content paved the way for her first job at WESH 2 News Orlando, where she hosted a web and TV segment called Orlando My Way.
In 2016, Braxton left Orlando for Winter Park, Florida, and joined the team of WWE NXT as a ring announcer, interviewer, and a host for NXT segments and roadshows.
NXT, similar to RAW and Smackdown, is a division of the larger WWE Network. While it’s original purpose was to serve as a developmental division where young stars could gain experience and work their way up the wrestling food chain, it has ultimately grown into its own distinct segment with a large, dedicated fan base.
