- Julie was born in 1974 in Oxfordshire, England.

- Julie’s first husband was the football player Christian Edwards. Edwards had played for Nottingham Forest as a defender. The marriage took place in 2001.
- Christian & Julie separated in 2003 and divorced in 2005 because it was difficult for them to spend quality time together.
- They said they almost always talked on the phone but could not see each other due to their work. Being a footballer, Christian had training & matches on the weekends, and Julie used to work in Norwich for the full week.
- Julie got married in 2009 to Chris Goreham, who is a BBC football commentator. Together, they have a son named Finn. After Finn was born, Julie returned to the screens in November 2011.
- She has a country cottage and loves to spend time with her husband & son there.

Julie, I just wanted to let you know how you brighten up the screen whenever I see your weather reports. Yes, you are gorgeous in that ‘girl next door’ persona but you still add a touch of foxiness whenever you wear those leather trousers and skirts.

Julie is a totally beautiful woman. I don’t just mean in the physical sense, that is a given. She is also beautiful inside. She has had more than her share of pain and heartache in her life, but not only has she come through it all with that lovely smile, but it is blatantly obvious that she cares for and about others. She is a lady who you would invite to join you in a cup of tea and a slice of carrot cake and just put the world to rights.
