- He left Florida and moved to Greenville, South Carolina, in 1989, joining the WYFF-TV as a General Assignment Reporter.
- In 1994, Jonathan returned to Atlanta, Georgia, to become a reporter for WSB-TV. During his time in Atlanta, he worked on the investigation of Susan Smith’s murder in addition to covering the 1996 search for the bomber who attacked Olympic Park.
- In 1999, Serrie joined the Fox News team. He worked for Fox’s Seattle and Los Angeles bureaus, covering several high-profile new bulletins that included the 2001 earthquake in Seattle as well as the 1999 riots at the World Trade Organization.
- In 2001, Jonathan moved to Fox’s Atlanta Bureau and began working as a correspondent. During his time there, he covered various stories that included the “Operation Allied Force,” which was held in Brussels, Belgium, at the NATO Headquarters. He also traveled to Skopje in Macedonia and Kacanik in Kosovo.
- Jonathan then covered Operation Enduring Freedom (Official name of the Global War on Terror) in Qarshi, Uzbekistan, and continued to report from other countries in the Middle East. From Afghanistan, he reported on the Mazar-i-Sharif and Qala-i-Jangi battles. In Kabul, he covered the formation of the Afghan national government after the fall of the Taliban.
- Back in the USA, Serrie spent some time working in Florida during the infamous trial of George Zimmerman, who was accused of shooting and murdering the teenager Trayvon Martin. He also covered the backlash and protests that followed Trayvon’s death.
- In 2012, he reported on the ‘Campaign Finance Fraud’ case of former senator John Edwards.
- Currently, Serrie works as the senior Fox News correspondent and is responsible for covering various political bulletins across the Southern parts of the country, as well as other global and national stories. He occasionally reports on health and science-related news as well.

Whatever happened to honest journalists with integrity? Wait…The answer is obviously the big money that comes with coverage of riots, looting, robbing, & destroying the property of the innocent. The thugs of the country think they have hit the jackpot when a black man dies at the hands of police when we know it is a fact that people of ALL races are killed even more frequently than blacks. No one wants to confirm that with the secret service, the FBI, and others. They know the only thing that makes news and money in the media promoted riots and destruction urged on by the greedy media.
