Jodi was raised in Southern California and spent a lot of her time in San Diego with her family.
She married her husband Mark Kodesh when she was just 23 years old. They are parents to two sons.

In addition to attending California State University (CSU) in San Bernardino, Jodi also studied at Boston University, focusing on the Film, Radio and Television Production Course.

Soon after finishing college, Kodesh began working as a reporter for a local newspaper.

She eventually landed a job as an intern for the CBS 2 station in Palm Springs, California.
A few years later, she joined the KPSP-TV team as an anchor and meteorologist.
In 2008, Jodi moved to San Diego, her dream location, where she took a job as a news anchor and meteorologist for NBC Universal Inc.

Jodi’s favorite hobby and second passion after weather forecasting are collecting several luxurious pairs of high-heeled shoes. Her favorite heels are a pair of ruby red heels that remind her of Dorothy in the “Wizard of Oz.”

Jodi and her husband share a passion for travel and have been to various locations that including Bali in Indonesia, Phuket in Thailand, and Hannover, Germany.
She is also passionate about charity and giving back to the community. When she was growing up in Southern California, she used to teach dance to underprivileged youth living in Watts and Compton. She also taught dance in Colton, California, at a community center.
