Jessica Schambach is an award-winning American journalist currently working as a news anchor on KOCO-TV in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma.
Family, Married Life and Children :
- Jessica was born on March 29, 1978, in Tyler, Texas. After college, she spent two years working and living on the West Coast before moving to Oklahoma for her current position.
- Relocating is nothing new for the Schambach family. Before settling in Texas, Jessica’s father, Robert William Jr., was born in Pennsylvania. Her mother, Laura, was born in Puerto Rico.
- Although they each followed different career paths, there is a common thread of service among Jessica’s siblings. Her sister, Rachel, works at a hospice in Texas, while her brother, Robert William III – who goes by the name Trey – served in the Navy.
- After meeting at the KOCO-TV studio, Jessica married former reporter Mark Myers.

- Upon graduating, Jessica moved to Medford, Oregon, where she worked as a weekend reporter and anchor at KTVL News. She worked at the CBS affiliate for two years before moving on.
- In 2002, she took a job as a reporter and fill-in anchor at KOCO-TV. Six months after she was hired, she moved up the ranks and became the morning anchor.
- Just a year and a half after that, she became the evening anchor & has held that position for over a decade.
- As of 2020, she anchors KOCO News 5 at 5 p.m. and 9 p.m. and co-anchors the news with Abigail Ogle at 6 p.m. and Paul Folger at 10 p.m.
- Jessica’s quick career advancement is not without good reason. Since 2009, Jessica has won numerous awards for her reporting, including three Emmy Awards and the Reader’s Choice “Best Anchor” award in 2010, 2011, and 2012.
