Janine was born in Stoke-on-Trent, Staffordshire, on 24th February 1978.
She got married at the age of 34 and in late 2016 gave birth to a son named Jacob.
She used to call her grandmother „Ludo Queen‟ as she always defeated her in the game of Ludo.

Education : She did her schooling from Newcastle High School. Her favourite subject in school was biology – She says of being fascinated by the complexity of body structure. Her least favourite subject was Physical Education, especially in winter.
Later, she went on to attend the prestigious Oxford University, from where she graduated in the year 2000.

TV Career, Job, Salary and Net Worth :

Janine’s first job was at Staffordshire & Cheshire in 1999 as the hostess of the breakfast show on BBC “Radio Stoke”. Interestingly, she got the job when she was answering phones on the station’s lunchtime programme. The industry quickly recognized her innate talent & she was soon presented with her own afternoon radio show.
After that, she joined the radio station’s breakfast show as its solo host. With her as host, the show’s ratings skyrocketed & reportedly was the highest in its 40 years of broadcasting.
In 2002, she was joined by Kevin Fernihough on the breakfast show, but after a couple of years, he departed. In 2004, Kevin joined BBC Radio Northampton. Once again, Machin was left as the solo host.
