Jaclyn Dunn is an American Traffic Anchor for KSBW 8 News, based in Monterey, California. She has previously worked as a morning news traffic anchor on CBS KPIX 5 and also KCRA Sacramento.

- Jaclyn Danielle Dunn was born on April 4th in Ventura County, California. She has an older sister, Kimberly, and a niece named Elizabeth.
- Named after her father Jack and uncle Daniel, she goes by the nicknames Jac, JD, or Jack Daniels, but prefers not to be called Jackie!
- She attended La Reina High School, an all-girls Catholic school in Thousand Oaks, California. She reminisces that she had to wear a plaid uniform every day.
- In 2002, Jaclyn went on to graduate from California State University-Chico with a degree in Communications and Media Arts.
- In an interview she mentions that she’s always had a love for the camera. It didn’t matter whether she was in front or behind it.
- Once while jogging, Jaclyn was hit and run over by a car. It resulted in a compound fracture of her tibia and fibula, and the most obvious solution was amputation. But her mother didn’t accept that as an option and asked for multiple opinions till she found a doctor who welcomed the challenge of saving her leg.
- Her leg healed after going through multiple surgeries and now she can do everything that she could before, including jogging.
- While attending college, she played a showgirl in a Broadway musical review. She mentions how the headpieces she had to wear were very heavy, and in her words, it felt like an “I Love Lucy” moment.

- Jaclyn’s first job after graduating, which according to her, was also the most unlikely job that she ever held, was at an oil company! She had to trade her dresses and high heels for a hardhat and steel toe boots. She was an assistant in the Manufacturing Engineering department. Years later, the company even cast her in its corporate video.
- Her first job in television was working as an assignment editor at KTXL Fox40 News where she worked for two years.
- It was only after all this that Dunn landed her first on-air job reporting traffic for KCBS radio.
- Her most dangerous and uncomfortable job was when she worked from a Cessna helicopter, reporting on airborne traffic. It was also one of Jaclyn’s favorites because of the views. She mentions that they only had to make one emergency landing.
- Jaclyn made her television debut on KGO 7 as the fill-in traffic reporter. It was then that she realized that she prefers anchoring to radio hosting.
- After landing the traffic anchor job for KCRA 3 News, Jaclyn worked there for five years (January 2012 – April 2017), and it was here that she made a mark as a traffic anchor.
- She left KCRA and accepted the traffic anchor position at KPIX, moving back to San Francisco. Here, she she held the role of Traffic Anchor from April 2017 to October 2018.
- Since August 2019, she is employed as the Traffic Anchor for KSBW 8 News.

- Her full name is Jaclyn Danielle Dunn. As a result, Jac, JD, or Jack Daniels were some of her nicknames, but she wasn’t named after the famous whiskey! Her father, Jack, and her uncle, Daniel, had given her that name.
- Jaclyn worked as a junior lifeguard in her teens and swam around The Ventura Pier every summer where the movie, “Little Miss Sunshine” was filmed.
- Her favorite musician is Elvis Presley. Introduced to his music by her father, she feels like if her life had a soundtrack, then it would definitely include Elvis.
- She hates eating tomatoes. However, she has no problem eating ketchup or anything derived from tomatoes. Just not the plain variety!
- Jaclyn has a strange habit while flying. She likes to draw on the barf bag and makes a little puppet out of it. She then tends to give it whoever picks her up from the airport.
