- But thanks to her doctor, Dr. Eve Feinberg of Fertility Centers of Illinois, and their surrogate, on March 2nd, 2016, the couple was able to make their dream of having kids together come true. They had twin girls, Harlow Winter and Hadley Walker!
- This was a life-changing experience for the couple, to say the least.
- Erin loves coffee, which she picks daily from the Dunkin Donuts before heading to work every morning.
- Previously, she went by the name Erin Mendez until she decided to go back to her maiden name Erin McElroy.

- In 2021, Ivory was diagnosed with heart failure and kidney failure and even lost 90% of her kidney function.
- Although Erin has four children, her busy work and training schedule, meant that she never followed up with a cardiologist, despite having problems for a long time.
- Her recovery has been difficult. She could not walk for more than five minutes, while earlier she was completing triathlons and other endurance races.
- Ivory started taking many medications, while her medical team monitored her heart function and circulation. Her story has inspired her other coworkers to take their own heart health more seriously.

I too was wondering why Erin changed her last name back to her maiden name after several years of marriage, as opposed to hyphenating her name?
