  • Emma’s mother Cary Vardy is originally from Sydney, Australia. She had done her high schooling from there, after which she moved to the UK for higher education.
  • Her mom also used to teach in the University of Southampton.
  • Emma currently resides in Southampton with her partner, Aaron Adams.
  • Ellsa Alexander-Adams, Aaron’s biological daughter with his former partner Leanne Alexander, passed away on February 5, 2021. The six-year-old Ellsa had suffered from epilepsy and many health issues since she was a baby.

  • Although, the worst of all was when she was in the Sky studio during the terrorist attack on US World Trade Centre on 11th September 2001.
  • In April 2020, Emma had created a cheeky X-rated video, supposedly to raise money for coronavirus & frontline workers. However, this resulted in her getting a warning from the BBC and she was asked to delete the video.

  • Emma had been granted a full scholarship for pursuing music in prestigious Royal College of Music in South Kensington, London. However, she opted to choose Broadcast Journalism as her calling.
  • Once, she had publicly played the Xylophone at the Royal Cornwall Show.
  • At Cornwall, besides presenting, she regularly played in the Cornwall Netball League & visited surrounding beaches to surf around.
  • On BBC South Today, she undertook the challenge of living off 53 GBP for the whole week! She did succeed at it but termed the experience terrifying. The experiment was conducted to fact-check the statement made by then Tory MP Duncan Smith saying he could easily live off the unemployment wage of 53 GBP per week.
