- Diane Gilman Illness / Sick : In 2018, Gilman was diagnosed with breast cancer. It was a stage 3 tumor in her left breast with lymph node involvement and a stage 2 in the right breast.
- She announced it on her Facebook, in a video that more than 100,000 women watched.
- Breast surgeon, Dr. Elisa Port treated Diane at the Dubin Breast Center in New York. She had to take 20 sessions of chemotherapy, but fortunately, came out cancer-free at the age of 73!
- During the chemotherapy session, Diane lost her signature auburn red hair. After one year, her hair started growing and was luminescent white.

I finally found someone who makes jeans that I can wear. I had to have an ileostomy 3 years ago and that also caused a Peristomal hernia. In other words, my stomach, which has always been bigger than I wanted, now has the extra added attraction of a hernia. Your jeans with the extra wide waist have been a Godsend for me. I love n pray for you. I try to watch all shows [I wish I could meet u I’m a fellow Leo too, Aug 10, I live in n.j.down the shore and am 71, born in Brooklyn. You are so enjoyable to watch: honest, and just plain fun! So many people are sooooooo boring.
