Christine Maddela is an American news anchor & broadcaster. Currently, she is the evening anchor on Fox5 News in Las Vegas, Nevada.

- Christine Maddela was born on September 9th, in Denver, Colorado.
- Growing up in Denver, Christine currently resides in Las Vegas, Nevada.
- Her mother is Filipina and from a long line of Spanish descent. In fact, the Maddelas are actually Spaniards who were part of the Spanish colonization in the Philippines. There is also a town called Maddela in Phillippines.
- Christine had a younger brother Geoff, who passed away in 2008. He was 17 years old at the time.
- For her education, Maddela attended the University of Missouri Columbia, colloquially known as Mizzou. She graduated with a Bachelor’s Degree in Broadcast Journalism and had a double minor in political science and Spanish.

- Christine got engaged to her long-term boyfriend, Christopher Goff, in March 2015 at the Centennial Park in Nashville, Tennessee.
- The engagement venue was also the venue of their first date. Her then-boyfriend Christopher arranged the engagement as a surprise, and it came as a shock to Christine, especially as all her friends were in on the secret as well.

- Christine began her career in broadcasting while attending university, spending a year (2001-2002) as a General Assignment Reporter at KMIZ TV in Columbia, Missouri.
- In 2002, she also started working as a news anchor & reporter at Columbia’s KOMU TV, and then became their Washington correspondent from 2003 to 2004.
- In 2003, she also spent a few months as a production assistant for ABC News’ World News Tonight, also in Washington D.C.
- In 2004, Christine relocated to El Paso, Texas, and was an anchor and reporter for KDBC TV until 2006.
- Following her stint in El Paso, Christine moved to Nashville, Tennessee, to work as an anchor and reporter for WKRN TV.
- She was in Nashville until 2011, when she once again relocated, this time to Philadelphia, where she worked for NBC Universal’s NBC10 channel as a reporter and anchor until 2015.
- From April 2015 onwards, Christine took up her current role as news anchor at Meredith Corp’s KVVU Fox 5 in Las Vegas, Nevada. She is the primary weekday evening news anchor, covering the popular 5, 6, 10, and 11 PM slots.

- Christine has received many accolades for her work, and was awarded no less than six Pacific Southwest Emmy awards. She has also won several prestigious Edward R. Murrow awards, and was nominated for four mid-South Emmy Awards.
- In 2008, the Tennessee Associated Press named her ‘Best TV News Anchor’.
- In 2018, she received the Athena Award for TV News Anchor, granted by the Women’s Chamber of Commerce of Nevada.
- In 2017, she was featured on VEGASINC Magazine’s “40 Under 40” list.
