- Cecilia was born in East Belfast, North Ireland but grew up in Lisburn. She still considers herself a ‘Belfast Girl.’
- Her family included her dad Sean, a school teacher, her mother Molly and two siblings, a brother and a sister. Sean passed away at the age of 82.
- Now in her fifties, Cecilia is living in Belfast with her significant other, Simon Flanagan and their dog, a Black Labrador named ‘Pedro’ and a cat named ‘Max.’ Simon worked at the Clandeboye Lodge Hotel in Bangor, Northern Ireland, as an Assistant Events Manager.
- Simon and Cecilia don’t have any biological children, but they have talked about adoption. For now, the kids in Cecilia’s life are her nieces and nephews.
- Cecilia is a fitness enthusiast & as such, she has her own personal trainer. She ensures that she hits the gym at least five times a week, plus she also enjoys running with her dog and doing yoga with friends.

Realising it was a bit too early for her to be in position, she was seen pacing off the camera, and the video went viral!

- Cecilia has some bad eating habits, especially when she has a lot of work going on.
- Her go-to product for everyday health is beetroot juice.
- She suffered from severe acne when she was a teenager. At the time, she also used to have very vivid dreams to the point where they started being scary.
- A self-confessed party-animal, Daly does not party much these days. In fact, she met her husband Simon during a girl’s night out of cocktails, and they talked on Facebook for almost a month before going out.
- A big fan of running, Daly has a few half-marathons under her belt. Once, she also set a goal of achieving six-pack abs and managed to do it successfully. The fit presenter can also weightlift 2.5 times her own body weight & her partner sometimes calls her ‘Mini-Hercules’.
- She enjoys travelling, and one of her memorable trips was one to Kenya with a number of her girlfriends. She also intends to help her mum check off her bucket list by taking her to the Chelsea flower show.

- In 2022, Cecilia’s alarm had gone off during her live weather report. The video was widely shared on social media, with over 75,000 views on Twitter (now called X). Cecilia remained calm and continued with her report and also apologized for the alarm at the end of her presentation. Popular news presenter, Tara Mills, joked that she thought the sound was from an ice cream van!
