- Candace was brought up in Alpharetta, Georgia, and till today her family still lives there.
- Not only is she a news reporter, but this beauty is also a wife. On September 17, 2016, Candace got married to the love of her life, Doctor Halton Peters.
- The two tie the knot in a beautiful wedding at the Fernbank Museum of Natural History in Atlanta in the presence of their families and friends.

- Candace’s journalism career started when she was still at university. She was involved with WVUA-7 TV, which was located on campus. Her primary role included gathering information, editing, and shooting.
- In 2007, she went in to work with WJCL/Fox 28 in Savannah, Georgia, as her first job after college. Here she was a news reporter and fill-in anchor.
- From Jan 2009 to Jan 2014, Candace moved to WREG-TV, where she was a reporter for the morning show. This was followed by a stint as a news reporter/anchor with WFLA-TV in Florida.
