- While growing up, Brett had the full support of his parents in anything he wanted to do. “You can’t” was not in their vocabulary, except when it came to staying out late on a school night.
- Although born in Boston, Brett was bought up in El Paso, Texas, and attended Cathedral High School in his teens.
- For his education, he attended Emerson College in Boston where he graduated in 1993 with a degree in Political Communication.
- During his time at college Winterble participated twice in the World Championships of Parliamentary Debate.
- He studied for Master of Arts degree in Homeland Security Studies between 2004 and 2008 from the American Military University.
- He also spent some time studying at The Groundlings Theatre & School in Los Angeles.

- In 1995, Brett started work for iHeartMedia as a Traffic Manager and Copywriter, before moving on to become the Producer of The Rush Limbaugh Show in 2000.
- In 2006, he moved to Radio America where he was the producer of the Michael Reagan Show for three years and then an executive producer in The Roger Hedgecock Show.
- The Brett Winterble Show was created in 2008 where Brett entertains listeners with his humor discussing topics of the day.
- In 2014, he became an On-Air Personality at The Beast 980, where he co-hosted DRIVE discussing all the sports in and around Los Angeles.
- Add afternoon host at KFMB Channel 8 station and an On-Air Host at Newsmax Media to his list of credits.

Stick to your Charlotte Show as you aren’t ready and probably never will be to take Rush Limbaugh’s place as far as ratings go. I say that as someone who detested Limbaugh and everything he stood for!

I really enjoy your stints as ‘guide’ (I like that term!) on the Rush Limbaugh Show. You are among the very best of the sub hosts or ‘guides’ & I hope to hear you on the show more often. Rush was such an institution & inspiration to all of us & I miss him greatly. One thing all his loyal listeners have been wondering is who will take over for him. Of course, it’s been said there’s no one else out there like him, and I agree. However, the EIB Network might want to consider you as a possible permanent replacement!
Today is Mon, Mar 15, 2021, & I really enjoyed today’s show – I thought you handled the call from the man who just recently lost his 31 yr, old wife, to cancer extremely well. I’m so glad you gave him the time to express his feelings & tell of his extremely sad journey of loss. I sense you are also a Christian, as am I, and I really appreciated your response to his story. God bless you for that!
