- After fourteen years serving as district attorney for Bedford County, Bill was sentenced to eight years of probation on corruption charges that he plead guilty to in May 2018. He was also fined almost 10,000 dollars and given more than 1000 hours of community service.
- Bill pleaded guilty to charges of disclosing the identity of confidential information, as well as to charges of offering lenient treatment to female drug dealers in exchange for sexual favors.
- In 1998, Bill was also sentenced for simple assault after allegedly beating up supporters of the Green Bay Packers football team during a game with the Philadelphia Eagles.
- Since his conviction, Bill has focused on a different path for his career. He is currently involved in entrepreneurship, in his ‘Never Quit’ podcast, and in his role as a public speaker. He advises on overcoming adversity, as well as on building entrepreneurial and career skills. He also provides advice on successfully campaigning and running for office.
