Introduction :
Anna Church is a weather presenter working for BBC East Midlands Today and BBC Radio Nottingham.
Personal Life, Parents and Family Details :
- Besides being a popular weather presenter, Anna is also a wife and a mother. She was pregnant & took maternity leave in 2016.
- Anna did not always want to be a television journalist. She has always loved arts and performing and even pursued it professionally.
- Anna holds a Bachelor’s degree in Musical Theater. During one of her performances, she got a back injury that saw her unable to perform for some time, and it was during this time that she started re-thinking about her career.
Career, Job, Salary and Net Worth :
- Post-injury, Church went to work for a local radio station in a bid to buy some time to make up her mind on which career path she would take.
- After some time, Anna was challenged by Mark Dennison, a reporter at BBC Nottingham to try and do a demo – before she could realize it, she was on set doing traffic reports.
- Anna then left the station and headed to ITV where she was responsible for doing the weather reports.
- After working there for some years, Church left ITV and went to work for BBC East Midlands. She describes her journalism career as being a case of being in the right place at the right time and knowing people though it also involves doing a lot of work.
- Anna admits that even though she never intended to be a reporter, she loves reporting for the weather a process, which she gets to learn from every other day.
Charity and Contributions :
- In November 2014, Anna and other members of BBC participated in a fundraising event for GCR to help children who are in need of help.
- Anna also participated in a charity event to raise funds in support for Nottinghamshire’s blind and visually impaired children and adults. Together with the other three reporters from BBC and Nottingham Post took on the annual challenge posed by the event of taking off their shoes and walking on fire. The event is one of the oldest charity events in the country.
- In March 2018, Anna successfully finished the Everest Challenge for Sport Relief.
Fun Facts, Height and Trivia :
- When she is not working, Anna loves shopping, going out for nice meals, going for walks, spending time with family and friends, and going to the cinema. She loves shoes, and her favourite pair is one she bought for her wedding day.
- Anna work demands her to wake up early most mornings, something which she says makes her get grumpy. She also mentioned in an interview that without her afternoon sleep for two hours, she cannot function properly.
- One of the most memorable moments that she has covered was the Royal Wedding.
- Anna had an experience with Brian Conley who gave her a big kiss on live television, and she got all red with embarrassment.
- One thing Anna loves most about Nottingham is the food from the great restaurants and the fact that people are so protective over their city.

Anna is the best presenter on TV at present. She is always well presented, well mannered, and has in-depth knowledge. She could and should go on to greater things on TV.
Anna Church…there is no way that you will go to see that Asian film. People that work for the BBC have to be so politically correct but you don’t have to further!
