Quite the skilled juggler, Angie does an excellent job of balancing her work with being a wife and a mother.

Personal Life, Parents and Family Details :

Little is known about Angie’s background or childhood as she has not talked much about her private life away in public. She was, however, born and raised in Northern Ireland, United Kingdom.
Angie is married to former guitarist and rock band member, Ben Trowell.

Ben’s band was called “Ghost of an American Airman” and frequently toured Europe as well as the United States. The band enjoyed a fair bit of success, as they had signed with Hollywood Records and even released a few albums.
The pair were regularly apart with Phillips working in Northern Ireland, England and Scotland most of the time, while Trowell was out touring. Ben wrote a ton of love letters to Angie during this time, and she even had to throw some out because they were just so many!
When the couple tied the knot in the month of June, it was raining.

Now married for around three decades, Ben and Angie have three children. All her kids were born between 1994 and 2000.

Later, she applied to the Queens University as well as the Met Office College and was accepted into both institutions but, she decided to temporarily ditch meteorology for a maths degree.

She quickly regretted her decision and one year after starting school, she dropped out and moved to the Met Office College and the Reading College of Technology in Berkshire, UK.

Angie began her career in 1985 working at the Belfast Climate Office. She was moved to the Edinburgh Climate Office despite picking forecasting as her first choice.

After one year, Phillips transferred to the Weather Centre in Glasgow where she spent the next one and a half years working as a forecaster.
Angie briefly returned to Northern Ireland and worked at Aldergrove before being requested to take a trip to London to do screen testing for the ITN station.
At first, she wanted to miss out as it was during her time off but, she eventually decided to go and was asked to come back for a national weather screen test a few months after her initial test.

She joined the team at ITN in 1993 and worked for three years before moving to BBC Newsline in 1996 where she currently works as a weather reporter and meteorologist.

Outside of work, Phillips enjoys reading, going to the theatre and listening to music.

She has admitted that she is not the sportiest person but, she is a big fan of rugby and catches live matches whenever she can.
She has talked openly about how much she loves being approached by people who watch her on TV and talked about how it shows that the weather truly connects people and gives them something to talk about.
In an interview she mentioned that her husband, Ben, would have liked five children, but Angie had no plans for more after the arrival of their third child.

I thought Angie Philips came from Philadelphia with her brother Michael and lived in Glenalina area of Ballymurphy
