Angelica Campos is the Chief Meteorologist for KGTV Channel 10, an ABC affiliate station in San Diego.
Personal Life : Parents, Family and Education
- Angelica is originally from San Jose, Costa Rica. She is the third born in a family of five children.
- She is an ardent Christian and currently resides in San Diego.
- Campos gained her US citizenship in November 2008.
- Angelica is bilingual – i.e. she can speak both English, a second language for her and Spanish fluently.
- Campos is a holder of a Bachelor of Science Degree in Broadcasting Meteorology and Geoscience from Mississippi State University.
- She also holds a degree from the University of West Georgia in Mass Communication.

- Angelica likes to stay active by engaging herself in running, lifting, and skydiving.

- When Angelica was two years old, boiling water spilled on her leg, causing serious burns. A few decades later, in 2013, she began working with children who were also burning victims.
Achievements and Awards :
- In November 2007, Angelica proudly finished her first-ever marathon.
- From then on, she has participated in many CrossFit competitions & completed a number of obstacle races and triathlons.
- Currently a National Physique Committee athlete, she hopes to one day become an IFBB Pro.
- In 2011, Angelica Campos was named as one of Cleveland’s most interesting people, and in March 2012, she was honored to be the first local celebrity to appear on the cover of Latinos Magazine NE Ohio edition.
- Kaleidoscope Magazine also initiated Campos in their Forty/Forty Club. The club recognizes people from Cleveland who are making a significant difference under the age of 40.
Career, Job, Salary and Net Worth :
- Prior to joining KGTV in June 2015, Angelica had been working for WJW Channel 8 in Cleveland as the morning & Weekend Meteorologist and also as the fill-in entertainment reporter.
- Before Channel 8, she was with AccuWeather where she covered weather news nationally & globally. She provided the weather forecasts for AccuWeather patrons both on television and on radio.
- At Channel 8, she also featured on national networks such as Fox News, Bloomberg, ABC World and Fox Business. Reporters from CBS and ABC News have interviewed her about storms, hurricanes and more.
- Being fluent in Spanish, Angelica had few opportunities to present the weather for stations in Mexico, Fresno, San Francisco and Puerto Rico.
