Anyone who knows Amy Lutz, will tell you that she is a person with a ‘golden heart’! This is because she manages personal duties, professional responsibilities and community service with marvelous adeptness!

- Amy is a native of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, & spent all her early years there.
- After wandering to different places in accordance with career changes, she is happy to be back in her native state.

An Interesting Education Journey :
- Amy’s first choice was Ohio State University, for studying business.
- Midway, she changed to the University of Florida.
- A confused Amy returned to Pittsburgh without completing any course.
- Upon her father’s advice to hone her writing talent, she took admission in Point Park University. Here, she graduated with a degree in Broadcast Journalism.
- A lover of team sports, she opted for softball, lacrosse and field hockey at college.
- She also ran a one-half marathon and somewhere along the way, gained a Fantasy football trophy too!
Starting her Career…
- Amy almost became a schoolteacher, since the highly competitive world of broadcasting scared her!
- However, a professor’s advice pushed her in the right direction.
- She wrote and recorded a fake newscast on a small recorder, prior to transferring it to a CD.
- Then, she forwarded the CD to a start-up cable station, located just an hour away from Pittsburgh.
- She cleared the interview and they hired her!
- After a year, she relocated to Bridgeport in West Virginia, wherein she learned to photograph, anchor, edit and produce overnights.
Job Timeline, Salary and Net Worth :
- Amy served as a morning anchor/producer/editor at WDTV, Bridgeport (2003-2004) and at Sinclair Broadcast Group at Greensboro Winston-Salem, North Carolina (March 2004 – September 2005).
- Amy worked as a morning reporter/anchor at WCSC-TV Live 5 News (August 2005 – August 2008) at Charleston, South Carolina.
- A Sinclair Broadcast Group affiliate in Columbus, Ohio, offered her a position as a morning news reporter/anchor from August 2009 until October 2011.
- Lutz has also been an employee of Fox 43 at Harrisburg, Pennsylvania, since July 2012.

- Amy does an astounding amount of volunteer work with people of all ages belonging to diverse backgrounds!
- She is also a volunteer on the Board of Directors for two major non-profit establishments – York County Children’s Advocacy Center and Turning Point (for women).
- Horses, figure skating, boating and camping are some of her other passions.
- In her spare time, she practices professional photography. She even launched Amy Lutz Photography in June 2010, to display her skills.
- She adores taking yoga classes & is also a fitness enthusiast.
Amy has been the recipient of two major awards. She received the PA Alzheimer’s Association Outstanding Media and Community Support Volunteer of the Year award in April 2014. The American Heart Association’s Go Red Volunteer of the Year award followed, in April 2015.
