- Amy Jessica Irons is a Scottish TV presenter, radio star, voiceover artist, event host and certified sports journalist.
- As the former co-host of Capital FM Scotland Breakfast Show – one of the UK’s most successful breakfast shows – Amy had won her listeners’ hearts, entertaining them each weekday from 6 AM.
- More recently, she has joined BBC Scotland as a Sport and Entertainment presenter.

- In June 2018, Amy’s boyfriend, then 34-year-old Wayne Ewer, took his own life in the couple’s apartment in Glasgow. The radio star was devastated and spoke openly about her own suicidal thoughts following the death of her partner.
- A few weeks after the terrible incident she revealed that Wayne used to drink and use cocaine occasionally and then he would try to harm himself.

- Amy went to St Joseph College in Dumfries from 2003 to 2009, and then chose to study Multimedia Journalism at Glasgow Caledonian University. She graduated in 2013 with a First Class Honour’s Degree.
- In 2013, she was the winner of a Scottish Student Journalism Award for Investigative Journalism – the Callum MacDonald Memorial Award. She received this award for an informative documentary discussing a range of legal psychoactive substances and their dangerous repercussions on people’s health and behaviour.
Career, Job, Salary and Net Worth :
- The company that launched her career as a sports presenter was Bauer Media, from Ayr, Dumfries. Amy has worked there as a reporter for West FM and West Sound Radio.
- Following that, she had a long stint as the live presenter of STV News and STV Glasgow’s Riverside Show.

- Amy posed in a stunning bikini photo in May 2019, that was posted to her Instagram account. The picture received over 1200 likes. Her Insta account now has over 7,000 followers.
- One of Amy’s favourite singers is Tom Walker, who she had the chance to meet in April this year. She documented the encounter, posting a picture of them on her Twitter (now called X) account, accompanied by a characteristically sweet description: “They say don’t meet your heroes, but this man was as lovely as I’d imagined he would be.”
- Mournful and desperate, Irons revealed that one night, a few weeks after her partner Wayne’s death, she drove to a bridge wanting to end her own life. However, moments before proceeding to do so, the rational part of her awoke and made her realise how hard it would be for her loved ones to lose her.
