Rutuja Bagwe, a Marathi actress, was born and brought up in Lalbaug Parel of Mumbai.

She lives with her parents, her father Rajan Bagwe is a doctor. She was tomboyish in her childhood. She also has a younger sister, Anuja Bagwe.

For her education, she went to the Parle Tilak Vidyalaya followed by Maharshi Dayanand College in Mumbai and has completed her graduation degree in B.Sc. Mathematics there. Before that, she went to Military school in Raigad for her schooling. Horseback riding, swimming & watching TV are her hobbies.

Bagwe performed in a number of ekankikas before she started acting on TV. Nanda Saukhya Bhare was her first TV serial in a lead role.

Suhas Paranjape and Chinmay Udgirkar were her co-stars in this serial. Unfortunately, the show didn’t have a long run.

In 2019, Bagwe was part of the natak ‘Ananyaa,’ which has won a lot of awards and has held shows in the USA and other parts of the world.
