Mitali Jagtap, a Marathi actress, was born in Nanded but originally from Aurangabad. For her education, she went to the Sharda Mandir Girls High School in Aurangabad and later completed her B.A. from the Vasantrao Naik Mahavidyalaya in Aurangabad.
Her family included her parents and her two brothers. Her father was a writer, while her mother’s name is Kalabai Jagtap.
She also completed one year of Natya Prashikshan from Babasaheb Ambedkar institute. After marriage, she also has a daughter. At her school and college level, she participated in a lot of ekankikas. Later, she moved to Mumbai to follow her acting career.
Mahesh Eklunchvar’s Pratibimb was the natak which first gave her recognition as an actress. Her first break was in the movie Raju in 2000, also got a Rajya Shashan best actress award.
In 2010, her role in the movie Babu Band Bajaa gave her a national award. This made her one of the very few Marathi actresses to win this prestigious award.
