- Coming from a Marathi family, Gitanjali Tikekar’s wedding to Sikander happened on 9th March 2008. They had met on the sets of Kasauti Zindagi Kay and were dating for two and a half years before the marriage.
- This serial was also her first big break where she played the vamp role of Aporna.
- Later, she played many roles in Balaji’s television serials and also a few others. Her role of Anjali in Iss Pyar Ko Main Kya Naam Doon was very popular.
- She also runs her own garments business under a Fashion Brand, Luxe. Additionally, as she was tech-savvy, she worked as a writer and graphic designer for an IT magazine called Blue Note.
