Kelly’s broadcasting career started quite early. At Penn, she was a reporter and anchor for the Centre County Report.
In the summer of 2007, she had an internship with WPXI-TV in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.
From April to December 2008, she interned at CBS News and, more specifically, at CBS Evening News with Katie Couric in Manhattan, New York.

In summer of 2009, Kelly interned at MSNBC for the NBC executives.
Her first job out of college started in March 2011 at WBOY-TV in Clarksburg, West Virginia. There, she was a reporter and weekend anchor. She stayed there for a year and a half until August 2012.
In August 2012, Kelly moved to Cincinnati, Ohio, to become a reporter for Fox19 WXIX. She stayed there for a little over two years, leaving in September 2014.
